Tubelight Movie Review

Every year Eid has a Salman's film release. For last few years these have been Salman's big hits Kick, Bajrangi Bhaijan,Sultan etc.But Tube light is different. Not exactly unexpected from Kabir khan as he is known as a thinking director & can take up unique subjects but this was not the quintessential Salman Khan movie. Here Salman was not the usual strong  super smart person who always knows what to do with himself.
After Abbas Mastan's chori chori chupke chupke on surrogacy , I think this was another movie where Salman completely moved out of  his comfort zone
As per media reports, box office returns are not too good . The movie is likeable for its character portrayals mainly by Salman and the small kid Matin.
During an interview, Kabir Khan spoke a lot about the chemistry between brothers but I think Suhail's screen presence was too short to project it much. It was the camaraderie between Salman and Martin thats shines through the movie
Also the movie draws attention to general reaction to minorities in conflict situation The first reaction is in such cases is anger ,revolt & attack.. And this probably is applicable globally as experienced in US Post 9/11 and in Europe in recent times.
The songs kintu parantu & Radio are amazing.Lyrics are superb & so  melodious that you just hold on to them.
The script is meaningful & emotional. Editing could have been more crisp to make the film shorter.
For me Tubelight was onetime good watch . One of the better efforts by Salman  may be better than Kick or Ek tha  tiger Overall I found it a movie worth a watch.
